GroenLinks is pushing ahead with the transition to sustainable energy at full speed. Why? Because tackling climate change can no longer wait. Because too many people are paying far too much for their energy bills. And because we must become less dependent on countries outside the EU. A fair transition is essential. Only if we share the costs of change fairly and ensure that the strongest shoulders carry the heaviest burdens, can the shift to sustainable energy truly succeed.
In our diverse and international city, where people from all corners of the world live, work, and study, it is important that we hold on to human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.
GroenLinks wants to do everything in its power to tackle the severe housing shortage. We will not fixate on numbers alone, but on building a complete city: with suitable, sustainable, and affordable homes, and sufficient public facilities. This is how we will ensure that residents of Amsterdam can find a suitable home at every stage of life, and that communities are preserved and strengthened.
