In 2020, as a response to the covid-19 crisis, the city council made 78 million euros available for new plans to accelerate our ambitions to address climate change, while at the same time creating jobs for as many Amsterdammers as possible. Think of extra solar panels, making neighborhoods natural gas-free, and speeding up our program to insulate homes. Below an overview.

GroenLinks wants a digital city that upholds public values and a human touch. With a new proposal, we propose new structures and forms of participation to draw more attention to the use of data and technology in our city. GroenLinks submitted a proposal that examines these possibilities and paves the way for better control on technology in the city.
April 22, 2021 - Children are the future, that's what is often said. Yet most of the time, only adult opinions inform the decisions of the city. That is why we summited a proposal today to lay the foundations for a sustainable city within the climate's limits, together with children from the city.

16 dec 2020・2020 was the warmest year on record in Europe. We have no time to lose in tackling the climate crisis. At the same time, products and services that promote fossil fuels are still widely advertised in the city. That is why we want to ban advertising for products and services that cause substantial climate damage.

29 June 2020・The City of Amsterdam takes up the fight against racism and discrimination in sports. The Amsterdam City Council adopted a proposal by GroenLinks, BIJ1, PvdA, D66, SP, DENK, Party for the Animals and ChristenUnie in early November. The KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association) also supports the initiative.
